1. What makes Thrive Life food products so
different from your competitors?
a. THRIVE has created its food line with our
consultants in mind. When developing a product we carefully consider its uses
in everyday cooking as well as storage and shelf life conditions. For a few
other reasons THIRVE is so superior, please follow this link:

2. Does Thrive Life manufacture its own food?
a. Yes, we process all of our food here at THRIVE, in our USDA,
Gluten-Free, and HACCP (food safety) certified plant.
3. Where does Thrive Life source its food from?
a. THRIVE sources food from all over the US. When necessary, we
source from other countries such as Chile and Germany. Due to concerns with
growing practices, THRIVE does not source any products from China. A list of
the country of origin of each food is available on our THRIVE Product Details.
4. How does Thrive Life ensure that your shelf life is
accurate?
a. The shelf life of our products have been carefully tested and
verified by scientists at major universities. By storing your THRIVE products
in optimal conditions, you can ensure you get the maximum shelf life out of
your purchase. Optimal storage conditions include a cool, dry place such as a
basement.
5. What allergy concerns are there with your food
products?
a.
Many THRIVE foods are naturally free from allergens. Please note that our
allergen-free foods are processed in the same facility as foods that contain
gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, and other food allergens. Our machinery, tools,
tables, and workspaces are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before each new
production run. However, in the interest of the safety of those who have
serious food sensitivities, Thrive Life and THRIVE cannot guarantee that trace
amounts of allergens will not be present. A complete list of the allergens in
each THRIVE product is available on the THRIVE Product Details document.
6. Do THRIVE foods contain additives or
preservatives?
a.
We are careful to avoid unnecessary additives and preservatives, and most
THRIVE foods do not contain them, though in cases it cannot be avoided. For a
complete list of which foods contain additives, please see the THRIVE Product
Details document.
7. What gluten-free products does Thrive Life offer?
Are they certified gluten-free?
a.
All THRIVE gluten-free products that have completed certification now have the
"Certified Gluten-Free" symbol on the label. Though gluten-free
certification is not currently regulated by a government agency, we use a third
party organization known as the gluten-free standard in the industry. Our
certification assures that every gluten-free product is tested during
production. All our gluten-free products are completely separated from other
THRIVE products; we use a separate gluten-free room, different clothing,
different cleaning materials, and different machinery to ensure that there is
no trace of gluten in our certified gluten-free products. The THRIVE Product Details document notes
whether each product is gluten-free certified.
8. What is the difference between freeze dried and
dehydrated foods, and why does Thrive Life we sell both?
a.
Freeze drying is a process where frozen products are placed in a refrigerated
vacuum system and, without thawing, are dehydrated. Minimal heat (just over 100⁰F) is used during this process. This ensures that the cell
structure of the food remains intact, allowing it to retain the color, shape,
flavor, and nutritional value of the original product better than other drying
methods. Dehydration is a simpler, more common process and is usually achieved
through air drying. We dehydrate some THRIVE foods, like carrots and sweet
potatoes, because they are preserved better through dehydration than freeze
drying.
Because
of the complexity of the freeze drying process, freeze dried products are
typically more expensive than dehydrated products.
